Get a Free Domain with Dropmagic

This tutorial will guide you through the process of obtaining a free domain name for your Shopify store using Dropmagic. You'll learn how to connect your store, claim your domain, and ensure its successful activation.

Step 1: Connect Your Shopify Store

To claim a free domain, you must first connect your Shopify store to Dropmagic. Follow the standard connection process by clicking the provided link and completing the setup steps.

You can claim one free domain for each store you connect with Dropmagic. This domain is free for the first year, saving you money, especially when testing multiple stores. You will only pay for the domain if your store remains active and profitable after one year.

Step 2: Claim Your Free Domain

Once your store is connected, return to Dropmagic and click on "Publish". Then, select "Claim your free domain".

In the search bar, enter your desired domain name (e.g., "testdropmagicstore.to"). Dropmagic will check its availability.

If the domain is available, click "Claim this domain".

Step 3: Connect to Shopify

After claiming the domain, you will be redirected. Click "Connect to Shopify".

Choose the option to "Connect an existing domain".

Copy and paste the domain you just claimed into the designated field, then click "Next".

Return to Dropmagic and click the button labeled "I have updated DNS record".

Step 4: Activate Your Domain

Click "Next activate domain". This will redirect you to Store Domain to create an account or log in.

Use the generated ID to connect to Store Domain. Once you have successfully connected, return to Dropmagic and click "I'm finished".

Step 5: Finalize and Wait for Activation

Your domain connection process is now complete.

Domain activation can take some time. While it may sometimes be as quick as 15-30 minutes, it can take up to 2 hours, and occasionally even 24-48 hours, for your domain to be fully connected and active with Shopify. Do not worry if it's not active immediately.
