This tutorial will guide you through translating or updating text on an image using Dropmagic's seamless Canva integration. You'll learn how to remove unwanted elements like competitor logos, cover existing text using a free method, and add new text with custom fonts, all within Canva, without requiring a paid Canva plan.
To begin, locate the image you wish to modify within Dropmagic. Click on the image, then select the Edit on Canva option.
This action will automatically upload the image to Canva and open it in a new Canva design project, ready for editing.
Once your image is open in Canva, you can remove any unwanted elements like competitor logos.
Click on the image to select it.
Navigate to the Modification menu (often represented by a magic wand icon).
Select the Razor tool.
Carefully select the logo or element you wish to remove, then click Erase.
Repeat this process for any other logos or elements you want to remove.
Go to Elements in the left sidebar and select a Square shape.
Drag and resize the square to completely cover the text you want to replace.
With the square selected, click on the Color box in the toolbar. Use the eyedropper tool (plus icon) to sample the exact background color around the text. This makes the square blend seamlessly.
Once the square covers the text and matches the background, click the Lock icon to prevent it from moving accidentally.
Repeat this process for all text sections you want to cover.
Go to the Text section in the left sidebar and add a new text box.
Select your desired font. For example, if your website uses Roboto, you can select it here to maintain consistent branding.
Type in your new, translated, or updated text. Adjust the text size, color, and position to fit perfectly over the covered areas.
For multiple lines or separate text elements, you may need to add additional text boxes, aligning and spacing them as needed.
Once you are satisfied with your edits, click the Download button in Canva to save your modified image.
Return to Dropmagic. Click on the original image placeholder again.
Select Choose Media and upload the newly downloaded image from Canva.
Verify that all translations are applied, logos are removed, and the fonts match your preferences.
By following these steps, you can easily translate or update any image text, remove unwanted elements, and maintain consistent branding using Dropmagic's Canva integration, all without needing a paid Canva subscription.
